WHAT HAPPENED?
Drake has become the latest superstar to take a stake in a football club. The Canadian rapper has invested in Venezia, through the APEX group, in a move that will also see his Nike sub-brand NOCTA replace Kappa as the club's kit sponsor – as per .
Apex said in a statement on Instagram: "Global icon Drake has joined Venezia investor group alongside APEX to fund the club ahead of its Serie A season. His Nike sub-brand NOCTA becomes the team’s official kit sponsor, a huge step towards the merging of culture and sports."

Drake has managed to raise $40 million (€36m) to invest in Venezia, helping save the club from bankruptcy, according to GQ Italia. Venezia have also been boosted by a return to the Italian top flight. The club beat Cremonese in the play-offs to secure a place back in Serie A for the 2024-25 season.
